- Subtracting time (finding the difference in arrival times (or Lag Time) of P- and S-Waves post earthquake as received by seismic stations.

- GRAPHICAL ANALYSIS:
- A Graph/Chart is Tool used to organize your findings/experimental results. In as such a graph/chart will allow one to develop conclusions and based upon how the data is trending extrapolate future implications of the findings.

- Bar Graphs / Histograms (used to show the frequency of an event)
- Scatter Point Graph employing a, "Best Fit Line" to show the general trend when 100's or 1000's of data points have been plotted

- In class we discussed the types of graphs, the purpose of graphs and how to apply graphs for the purpose of qualifying observations and examining the relationships between different variables and moreover how the Dependent Variable (the Y-Axis) is affected by the Independent Variable (the X-Axis).
- The class has begun working on the graphing lab having setup axis labels with units and axis scale whilst also plotting the provided data, analyzing this data and determining the type of relationship between the specific variables.
